A Japanese Katana, probably Meiji, 19th/20th century, with cord-lashed tsuka decorated with gilt menuki and gilt Damascened sarute and fuchi above a similar silver decorated pierced iron tsuba, the blade (unsigned) subtle hamon and sheathed in a maki-e lacquer saya, 102 cm overall length inclusive of scabbard x 64 cm length of the blade.
