More Information

* Condition: One or two very small losses to the tortoiseshell and a few small spots where the tortoiseshell and brass are lifting slightly. Overall the case is in good condition and has not been polished, so it has a good patina. There small dings to the brass to the centre of the lid. The brass arced hinge strut is missing from the right hand side of the lid, but this does not affect the lid opening smoothly. The case does not have a key. Two of the decanters have a chip to the rim and one stopper is chipped. There are a few minor frits to the edges and corners on the stoppers and necks. Some gilt wear to the lining on the stoppers and necks. One glass is cracked and all have some gilt wear to the bases and tiny frits to the corners.
