Former Bristol Zoo Gardens - a collection of original Victorian and Edwardian service wear from Bristol Zoo Cafe, circa 1880 to 1910. Includes two plates, two side plates, two milk jugs, two spoons, two knives and two forks. The ceramics decorated with the Clifton Zoological Society 'CZS' emblem featuring a Lion, and the cutlery also marked 'Clifton Zoological Society' (or similar). Maker's marks for Steelite, H. Abrahams & Co, Bristol, and some items further stamped 'Cafe.' Plates 24cm diameter.
