3rd (Prince of Wales) Dragoon Guards 1871 Helmet. A good example. Brass skull, this decorated with laurel leaf front band and oak leaf backstrap; to the front a white metal star with applied brass Garter; white metal 3 to black centre. Brass cruciform and spike supports a scarlet and black plume. Rose head bosses to the side support an interlinked brass chinchain with leather backing. The interior retaining original leather lining.
