1799-1839 Entires or covers (4), a letter to Freeling and a front, comprising 1799 entire with red triangular "PENNY / POST / NOT PAID" and experimental "FREE" datestamp type LF13, 1838-40 envelopes from the Archbishop of Canterbury with blue "Croydon / Penny Post" and "To Pay / 1d Only" or "To Pay 1d only", and a letter to Freeling complaining about a Penny Post charge on a franked letter, also two differing "TO PAY / ONE PENNY" handstamps of Edinburgh. A good lot, London type LLpp6 handstamp (Jay 816) only used for three months in 1838. (6).
