The arms and motto of BOWES-LYON, earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne. For the 1881 marriage of Claude George Bowes-Lyon, 14th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne, KG, KT, GCVO, TD (1855-1944) and Cecilia Cavendish-Bentinck. They were the parents of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother and the maternal grandparents of Queen Elizabeth II.
The marks are clear. Some age-related surface wear but generally in very good condition.
