Oil on canvas relined within the past 20 years or so, canvas remains tight, paint is rather dirty with a fine but stable craquelure showing through the lighter clouds, apparently unsigned, housed in a later gilt scroll frame which suffers a number of losses, comes with receipt for a sale at Christie's dated November 1979, a black and white photograph with title inscribed verso and the Art Union print of the work in the original glazed oak frame
