Sven BERLIN (1911-1999) Packing Broccoli, 1942 Watercolour, signed, titled and dated '42, 27 x 35cm, framed 49 x 56cm Rosewall Hill, St Ives, can be seen in the background of this work. Sven worked as a labourer on local farms, picking broccoli amongst other duties, on the North Cliffs and later Zennor during the late 1930s and early 1940s before joining the Army in 1942.
