Charioteer, holding kentron and reins, driving fast quadriga left, Nike above, flying right, crowning charioteer with wreath, shield, greaves, Attic helmet and cuirass below. Rev. [?-Y-PA-K-O?-I?N] Head of Arethusa facing left, wearing a wreath of grain ears, necklace of pearls and triple?pendant earring, scallop shell behind neck, four dolphins around. (Gallatin F.IV/R. XIV(?); HGC 2, 1299; SNG ANS 373; Dewing 910). Very Fine. Portrait of very pleasing style. Some light smoothing to the reverse fi elds. Pleasing grey/purple toning.
