Vigurs, Penzance, 1822. John Forbes was a surgeon, becoming an M.D. in 1817. He had an interest in and for a short period studied geology, to this end he accepted a post as M.D. in Penzance in 1817, becoming secretary of The Royal Geological Society of Cornwall. Bound in original marbled boards with a relaid leather spine and gilt lettering. A fine copy of three very scarce works.
