A PAIR OF EARLY 19TH CENTURY 80 BORE PISTOLS BY LOTT OF CANTERBURY.
A pair of flintlock pistols with double brass turn off four inch barrels numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, round tapering with ringed decoration meeting octagonal bodies with broad sliding cut off pans with a single hammer with trigger guard safety, engraved to the sides 'Lott Canterbury' amongst scrolling foliate decoration. The grip with silver wire inlay, the butt with a hallmarked silver mount, hallmarks rubbed but possibly Birmingham Assay office. 11 1/2" (29cm) overall length.
