A COLLECTION OF LATE 19TH / EARLY 20TH CENTURY SILVER & SILVER PLATE CUTLERY, including (i) a Sheffield silver spoon & fork with shell design to the front & back, nice clear hallmarks, date letter ‘W’ for 1914, and maker’s mark GH for Harrison Brothers & Howson (George Howson), (ii) two silver fish knives, the smaller: Sheffield, date letter of ‘g’ for 1899, maker’s mark of HW for Lee & Wigfull (Henry Wigfull), the larger: London, date letter of ‘C’ for 1858, maker’s mark indistinct, both with bright cut decoration to the blades & scrolling foliage & floral detail to the handles, (iii) a pair of Irish silver dinner forks, Dublin, date letter of ‘U’ for 1840, maker’s mark of PW for Philip Weekes, (iv) a cased set of monk spoons with the retailer label to the case for Mosley of Waterford, (v) a cased set of butter knives, along with extra butter knives, a lovely late 19th century silver plated pair of serving utensils with bright cut decoration to the tips, (vi) a cased set of butter knives along with four extra butter knives with different handles.
