English School, late 19th c - Commotion in the Kitchen, a dog senses danger, indistinctly monogrammed R*, dated 1881, oil on panel, 28 x 38cm
Ready to hang condition. Cleaned and restored in the not too distant past, abrasions and losses touched-in, with surface wear still apparent though displaying well; stabilized panel crack. Light craquelure in places. The corners slightly nibbled/chipped. Retaining a nice tone.
