Cecil Beaton (British 1904-1980). A group of eighteen original pen and watercolour illustrations by Cecil Beaton, the illustrations were commissioned by Donn Casey (son of Lord Casey) when Beaton was a guest of Lord and Lady Casey in Bengal in 1944. Lord Casey was appointed Governor of Bengal in 1943. The illustrations measure 16.5cm x 19cm approx. and were for Caseys book titled 'These Fine Adventurers, or Mission to Mombasa' (copies of the original manuscript are included with this lot), along with the illustrations comes a silver salver presented to Lord Casey, hallmarked 'R&D, Sheffield 1967', diameter 30.5cm approx. weight 24.5oz. approx., together with other ephemera relating to Lord Casey
