An early 20th century silk cashmere rug; with cobalt-blue ground and central medallion against a terracotta ground (223cm x 154cm)
We can’t see a yellow stain on the rug but it has been very well used and it is noted that one end before the borders is noticeably redder at the other end therefore the Auctioneer thinks it has probably been in the sun. There does appear to be a colour differentiation on the central medallion. Also at one the border is much darker than at the other end. This carpet is not consistent colour wise.
