A Chinese soapstone seated figure of a luohan, 18th century, the figure holding a rosary bead necklace in his right hand and a scroll in his left, the creamy pale green stone highlighted with remnants of polychrome and gilt decoration, set with hardstone jewelling,12.5cm high

Remnants of polychrome decoration, natural inclusions and veining to the stone, scratching and wear to the base consistent with age and use, in good condition.
