A brass barrelled flintlock blunderbuss with spring bayonet, by Perrins of Faversham (Kent), c 1825, 30” overall, 2 stage bell mouth barrel 14”, octagonal breech with Birmingham proofs, engraved “Feversham” (sic), and with 12” top spring bayonet released by catch on breech tang; the signed lock with fern tip engraved tail, pigeon breasted cock, rainproof pan, and roller on frizzen spring; walnut fullstock with chequered wrist and brass mounts including foliate engraved butt plate tang, engraved trigger guard with pineapple finial, and with original brass tipped ebony ramrod with iron worm.
