Set of six copper engravings depicting famous London squares. This 1754 version of John Stow’s original engravings, entitled Stow’s survey of London 1598 was completed in this larger version by John Stripe after his death in 1733. The survey is described as “a masterpiece of topographical literature written by a Londoner of ripe experience, who was interested in everything that occurred around him”
