WD & HO Wills - Cigarette Cards - 'Safety First' (1934) - a presentation of original hand painted / drawn artwork for five of the cigarette cards. The artwork pieces titled for the following cards: 'Never Throw Anything From A Moving Car,' 'Do Not Park On A Curve,' 'On Steep Hills Set The Wheels Against The Kerb,' Stop To Allow Tramcar Passengers To Alight,' and 'Never Draw Up At Night On The Wrong Side.' Each piece hand drawn and painted by artists working at Mardon, Son & Hall in the 1930s. Mounted to a custom-made board (made by Mardons in order to later display the pieces) showing the artwork, the final produced cigarette cards and special printed versions of the text to the rear. Unique piece of cigarette card history. Total size: 48cm x 65cm.
