NB: Mary Compton was travelling with her son Alexander (Lost) and daughter Sarah aboard the Titanic as First Class passenger and occupied cabin E45. Mary and Sarah were rescued in lifeboat 14, of which Harold Lowe was in charge. Mary later related that as she said goodbye to her son on the boat deck and entered the lifeboat it would be the last time she saw him.
