A Victorian 1827 Pattern Staffordshire Volunteer Rifles Sword, with 835mm curved steel blade with half-length fuller, crowned 'VR' mongram to on one side of the blade and ribbon-strung bugle to opposing side with 'Stafford Volunteers,' Arabesque scrolling foliate burnishing, proof mark Star and Hill Bros, Old Bond St, London to ricasso, gothic pierced steel knuckle bow with pierced 'strung bugle' motif, brass wire-bound shagreen grip, curved steel scabbard with drag and two bands with loose suspension rings.
