A large late 19th/early 20th century English rocking horse on safety stand, probably by F H Ayres, the black overpainted and carved rocking horse with pricked ears, flared nostrils and open mouth revealing teeth, the head with one clear and black glass eye, real horse hair mane and tail, the body with outstretched legs on a later replacement safety stand, remnants of the dappled paint can be seen, 152cm long
