A FIRST WORLD WAR TRIO AND MEMORIAL PLAQUE TO THE ROYAL LANCASTER REGIMENT. A Great War trio comprising 1914-15 Star named to 9198 Pte F. Lamb R. Lanc R. War Medal and Victory medal similarly named. Memorial plaque named to Frank Lamb. Frank Lamb was born at Cheetham, Manchester. He joined the King's Own (Royal Lancaster Regiment) and entered the conflict in France on the 15th January 1915. He was killed in action on the 3rd May 1915 whilst with the 2nd Battalion. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial. Mounted for display with copied research.
Note inconsistent spelling. Good condition with a great history form the early days of Naval engagements during the Great War.
