British P1861 Rifled Cavalry Carbine
.577, rifled, 20 3/4 inch barrel. Front blade foresight. Small rear ladder sight. Breech stamped "N.S.B.". Military pattern, plain lock plate. Military pattern percussion hammer. Complete with steel nipple protector with brass securing chain. Polished, full stock woodwork. The butt with Birmingham 1877 issue stamp and "Fort William Arsenal" circular stamp. Brass butt plate stamped "623". Brass trigger guard and end cap. Two steel barrel bands. Side mounted steel saddle bar with sliding ring. Steel swivel ramrod.
