Two African carved ivory tusks, one relief carved with a snake eating a deer; the other similarly carved with a crocodile eating a fish, largest 64cm long; together with another Nigerian Yoruba carved ivory Iroke Ifa, 37cm long, (s.d.). (3)
Provenance: Collected by Martin Doyle (1871-1913) whilst engaged in the import of African hardwoods to Liverpool at the turn of the last century.
