An original Boer War era British 12 Pounder ( inert ) shrapnel shell. The shell with a copper driving band to the lower portion and marked to the barrel 2 / 5 /96 with broad arrow inspection mark and IV fuse to the top. A repainted example. Measures approx. 26cm.
