An iconic London Routemaster bus for sale. This is your chance to own your very own piece of London’s history.
The bus was purchased by the vendor when it was de-commissioned by Transport For London in 2005. The bus was first used for advertising, it was driven around central London with adverts on the side, resulting in a very successful advertising campaign. The bus was then converted, with no expense spared, into a fully functioning two floor beauty parlour. The business was such a success that it outgrew the bus and had to move on to larger premises. A few slight alterations were then made, with desks and computers added, and the downstairs was used as a service centre reception with the upstairs being used as a waiting room for customers.
The Routemaster is a real head turner and there are only an estimated 650 left in the U.K.
The vendor states that the bus will start and drive, with the engine, gearbox and brakes all in good working order. The original seats from the bus are also included in the sale.
