A VERY FINE LATE 17TH BASKET TOPPED BRACKET CLOCK BY ROBERT WILLIAMSON OF LONDON (1698-1714), the five pillar movement powered by a single train fusee movement and verge escapement, quarter striking on four silvered bells, the rear richly engraved with makers name and fretwork floral decoration and regulated by a short bob pendulum, the seven inch dial plate with gilded angelic spandrels, matted inner and silvered chapter ring, date aperture and blued filigree hands, the black ebonised case having richly decorated gilded panel and a pierced decorative basket top with zoomorphic carry handle, supported on lion paw feet, H 40 cm, W 27 cm, D 15 cm

Going train ticks on winding.
Striking train currently not working.
Movement not fixed at present to saddle blocks.
Ebonised case and gilded decorations appear to have been cleaned and restored – the four finials are not fixed
