A Liberty & Co of London Tudric 0544 rectangular hammered pewter and hard enamelled cigarette box, the hinged cover set with a slightly domed panel decorated with a naive study of a galleon in full sail, possibly painted by Fleetwood Charles Varley (British 1863-1942), the plain mahogany lined body marked "Tudric 0544" to the underside, 12.5 cm x 11.5 cm x 7 cm high. A private collection but containing an old auction lot number for Lot 9, 23rd of September 2005 A slight shell chip to the top left-hand corner of the enamel panel and a slight possible impact bruise to the top right-hand edge of the panel.
