Richard II, (1377-1399), AR Halfpenny, London (Tower) mint. Crowned facing bust, rev. Long cross pattée; triple pellets in quarters. 0.57gm. (Withers II type 1, c(ii); N 1331b; S 1699). Good Very Fine, quite well struck although rev. a little off centre. Ex. Baldwin’s, shop ticket c. 1920s in AHB’s own hand, priced at 5/6.
