A JAPANESE TAISHO PARCEL-GILT BRONZE OKIMONO OF DAIKOKU BY TAKAAKI (1919), The God of Good Fortune is depicted sitting on a hay bale, holding his knee against his chest and looking into the distance with a smile; he wears a soft cap and his trusted mallet to his waist, both with details highlighted in gilt, the underside with a seal mark reading Takaaki, made of two parts which join where Daikoku is seated on the hay bale, height 30.5 cm x depth 17 cm x width 19 cm, 5kg

General surface wear commensurate with age, no visible signs of damage or restoration. Evidence of erosion to the bronze where the two parts join, wear underneath hay bale and to Daikoku's foot.
