A Japanese blue and white porcelain dish, Edo period, late 17th/early 18th century. Old paper labels inscribed 'Antiq 224, Bd. St. Germain, S. Edmond Chine Ancien' and 'Epoque Kang-Hy 1662-1723', decorated with a central vases on flowers on stand, with a sectioned border enclosing stylised flowering plants, diameter 23.3cm. Private collection of a Parisian lady (1876-1964), whence by family descent to the present South West Cornwall vendor. A beautifully-decorated pieces; some natural pitting  and two small areas where glaze has not taken from firing. Foot rubbed with some small chips. Stilt marks to the base from the stand used when firing.
