A FIRST WORLD WAR CASUALTY TRIO TO THE DURHAM LIGHT INFANTRY. A Great War Trio Comprising 1914-15 Star named to 25083 Pte W. Lee Durham L.I. War Medal and Victory Medal similarly named. William Lee was the son of Shiel Bell Lee and Margarite Lee of 51 Durham St. Brandon Colliery near Durham, he served with the 15th (service) Battalion of the Durham Light Infantry, entering France on the 9th October 1915 and died on the10th May 1916 he is buried at La Neuville Communal Cemetery, Corbie, his headstone reads 'Ever remembered by his loving Father & Mother Brothers and Sisters', he was 21 years old. *CR Normal light surface marks. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
