A FIRST WORLD WAR MEMORIAL PLAQUE TO THE MANCHESTER REGIMENT. A Memorial plaque named to William Chadbourne. 40902 William Chadbourne, son of Thomas and Clara of Burton on Trent, died on the 13th January 1917 whilst serving with the 16th (Service) Battalion of the Manchester Regiment. Having previously served as 2449 with the Notts and Derby Regiment he is buried at Doullens Communal Cemetery Extension No.1, his headstone reads 'Gone but not forgotten', he was 21 years old. Mounted for display with copied research including image of the headstone.
