£200
Late Victorian silver plated presentation inkstand, circa 1895, shaped rectangular stand supporting two heavy hobnail cut glass inkwells around a central casket surmounted with sphinx, and inscribed and dated, all raised on paw feet, 31cm x 21cm
The plate has begun to bleed (being thin enough to begin to show the copper beneath). At each end of the inkstand there seems to be a slight bend which shows as the two inkwells are leaning outwards slightly. There is an inscription on the central box. The glass ink wells have some tiny pips to the extremities, nothing too onerous.
No further damage detected.
