A mid Victorian transitional percussion six shot pistol by Parker, Field & Sons. Octagonal 4" barrel signed to the top flat Parker Field & Sons 223 High Holburn London, London proof marks to cylinder and underside of the barrel, serial No. 9774, the ramming lever signed Registered by Parker Field and Sons, engraved with foliate scrolls, chequered walnut grip, engraved butt cap with a central compartment with trapdoor for caps. Overall length 27.5cm. The action cocks, the cylinder rotates, and the trigger functions correctly. There is general light corrosion, the spring-loaded lever rotates and functions correctly.
