A Henry VIII carved English oak plaque, 16th century or later. Carved with King Henry VIII’s coat of arms initialled HR with crown and Tudor roses set within a quatrefoil and lozenge with a portcullis, Tudor rose and thistle spanning the corners. Impressed inscription struck to lower edge reading ‘Kings Chapel Roof 1513’. Panel backed against a velvet covered board. 7.4 in (18.7 cm) length, 4.6 in (11.8 cm) width, 1.6 in (4.1 cm) depth.
