Circular chain being broken by a merchant vessel with winged eagle and swastika figurehead. Reverse, with hinged vertical tapered pin and securing hook bears raised maker details of Fec. Otto Placzek, Berlin. Ausf. Schwerin, Berlin. Retains original finish ... accompanied by its miniature stickpin. Both housed in original back fitted case, the lid lined with simulated blue silk, the base in rather worn flock. Awards VGC, case GC. Instituted 1st April, 1941
