Malaya. 1954 Registered cover from British forces at Taiping to England, from the Comet crash near Elba, the stamp washed off, handstamped violet "DAMAGED BY SEAWATER / * COMET MAIL *" (2 strikes, on both sides) and red "DAMAGED BY SEAWATER" (with an "M" below), enclosed within an O.H.M.S ambulance envelope with violet "LETTER BRANCH / D.P / DUTY / MOUNT PLEASANT" cachet and endorsed "Damaged by Sea Water (Comet mail)".
