A small group of Minton porcelain, comprising: a Minton pâte-sur-pâte plate, probably 1920s, with three blue and white-bordered panels decorated with Classical figures and putti by Albione Birks, signed to one panel, printed and impressed 'MINTONS' marks, 27cm diameter (cracked); a Minton standing dessert comport, dated 1874, with reticulated greek key border, turquoise ground, nicely painted with a circular landscape, impressed marks, painted G1524, 24cm diameter, 7cm high; and a pair of plates, decorated in gilt and silver in the Aesthetic style with Japanese influenced subject including birds and waterlilies, retailed by William Mortlock, impressed marks, 23cm diameter; and another pair, slightly larger, decorated in gilt only, 23.5cm diameter (6) Condition:Pate-sur-pate - A circular open crack running either side of and partially through two panels. Not that noticeable with the naked eye without closer inspection. Some surface scratches to white ground. Comport - Good condition with no damages or repairs. Pair of plates with birds - One plate has yellow staining around the rim, mainly to the underside. Some surface scratches and some slight rubbing (e.g. tip of one bird's wing, some of the bulrushes, etc) No damages or repairs though. Second pair - no damages or repairs.
