1974 Gibson ES-355 TD Stereo electric guitar, made in USA; Body: walnut finish, light buckle marks to back, further dings but generally acceptable for age; Neck: refinished with wear visible under lacquer to treble and bass sides, scuffs to surface of volute, original tuner screw holes doweled; Fretboard: ebony; Frets: good; Electrics: working, stereo splitter box supplied; Hardware: light gassing to pickguard, wear to gold plating and oxidisation to treble side of pickups (caused by pickguard gassing), further oxidisation and pitting to metal parts and general gold plating loss, replacement Grover tuners; Case: original hard case; Weight: 4.25kg; Overall condition: good for age;
guitar in well used but good condition. Neck refinished, we believe to smooth out some of the wear on the neck and tidy up the old tuner screw holes on the back of the head. Tuners replaced. Original lightly worn case. Hardware visibly tarnished and oxidised, especially the pickup covers due to Pickguard gassing. Some scaring to the pickguard where it has slightly dried out. Upper frets oxidised, also from pickguard gassing. Frets in good shape. Trem works well. In our opinion a good player. Please see images and demo video for general condition guidance.
