£260
A pair of continental porcelain metal mounted urns and covers, probably by Ackermann & Fritze, early 20th century, of ovoid form with flared neck and spreading foot, the bodies decorated with printed arcadian scenes, the covers with fir cone finials, printed beehive mark to bases, each 43cm high (2)
Both pieces show rubbing to the gilt highlights throughout, particularly around the metal mounts, and slight misalignment of the the transfer printed scenes, but no obvious chips, cracks or crazing. The metal mounts are slightly loose on one of the vases. The neck mounts show evidence of possible glued re-attachment at some point in the past.
