A RARE BERLIN SILVER GILT MOUNTED ROCK CRYSTAL AND ENAMEL PENDANT ATTRIBUTED TO THE FROMERY WORKSHOP, DATED 1734 Front with a profile of a Bishop / Saint shown wearing a 'mitre' and holding a 'crozier' and burning candle / lamp, a wax 'Agnus Dei' oval relief to the reverse, in copper, enamel, silver, gilt, wax, rock crystal, modern stand 7cm high, 5.5cm wide, 1.5cm deep Provenance: Blumka collection, Ruth BlumkaSotheby's, January 9th and 10th 1996 Georg Laue, Munich, GermanyEx Private English collection The Fromery factory and workshop was created by the French Huguenot émigré, Pierre Fromery (1655 - 1738), an accomplished steel-cutter, armourer, clockmaker and box-maker.
