A PAIR OF DECORATED TURKISH FLINTLOCK PISTOLS. Each with 28 cm octagonal barrels with slightly flared ends and scrolling engraved decoration, approximately 13 mm at the muzzle. With flintlock firing actions, one sideplate engraved with a primitive rampant lion, the stock with all over spot decoration, with chevrons beneath the barrels, the scrolling grips with differing brass strap mounts. 44 cm overall.
Both with cracks and repairs to the woodwork, actions not functioning. A very decorative pair of guns with slight differences to the decoration and detail.
