A 19TH CENTURY QAJAR LACQUERED MIRROR CASE SIGNED YA SAHIB AL-ZAMAN AND DATED

A 19th century Qajar lacquered mirror case portrays a vibrant and detailed scene of a ladies’ hammam (bathhouse). The front panel is adorned with an intricate painting of several women, elegantly draped in red and orange robes, attending to one another in an ornate, vaulted interior, characteristic of Persian bathhouses of the period. The reverse panel displays an exquisite floral design featuring lush red and orange roses, a hallmark of Qajar lacquer artistry. The edges of the case are framed with intricate geometric and floral borders, The case bears the signature “Ya Sahib Al-Zaman” and dated.
