Julian Barrow (20th century) - 'Bath from Widcombe Hill', signed also inscribed with the title verso and dated July 63 (1963), possibly in the artist's own hand, oil on canvas, 12" x 16"
In original unlined and unrestored condition, the work has good thick impasto in places and has some minor craqelure in the sky in the upper right hand corner, there is discoloured varnish and dirt to the surface and it is contained within a rather dusty and dirty plain wooden frame with inner gilt slip, together with a further inner canvas slip which is unfortunately stained.
