A Chinese pale celadon jade 'fish' plaque, 18th/19th century, carved and pierced with a leaping fish biting lotus tendrils and flowers, the stone with russet and white inclusions, 16.7cm long, 8.5cm high, later wood stand for use as a table screen

Provenance - the former owner collected jades and snuff bottles in the 1960s and early 1970s while living and working in Hong Kong.

Natural inclusions to the stone including russet to the fringes and some white inclusions through the main part of the carving. There is a small splinter chip to the edge of one of the lotus flowers, otherwise in good condition.
