A small naive earthenware jug with pie crust foot. Dates c15th-17th Century. An old label to the underside states it was ' found 9ft deep while excavating in Hobson Street, Cambridge'. 23cm high.
Appears to have been part of the Glashier Collection. James Whitbread Lee Glaisher (1848-1948) was a noted mathematician and astronomer. He amassed a large collection of mostly English ceramics of which most were left to the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge.
