King's Messenger William IV HM 1831 silver gilt badge of office. Fine rare die-cast London hallmarked example by I.N (possibly Joseph Newcomb). Crowned pierced oval Garter with central glazed section covering hand painted William IV Royal Arms; suspended from the tail of the Garter, a silver Greyhound. Reverse with suspension bar and engraved THOS DRIVER. Minor damage to top left painted Arms. Overall VGC Thomas Driver was a Messenger for Home Service posted to the Colonial Office,
