Col. W.C.M. Woodcock), Good Very Fine, mounted as worn; miniature corresponding group also mounted as worn.Plate 2 Note: Born 1865 William Charles Marmaduke Woodcock, Gentleman was commissioned as Lieutenant in the 4th Battalion Devonshire Regiment, Jan 1883; transferred to King’s Liverpool Regiment in May 1885, served with the Burmese Expedition 1885-7 including the operation of the 6th Brigade under Brigadier General Low (medal and clasp), accompanied the Miranzai 1st and 2nd Expeditions 1891 (clasp); served on the N.W. Frontier of India, Waziristan, 1901-02 as Captain, 29th Punjab Regiment, where he was mentioned in despatches (8th August 1902) (medal and clasp), WWI medal card shows as Lieutenant Colonel, Draft Conducting Officer, and awarded the War badge. Died1937 aged 71
